Flowery Branch was originally named Anaguluskee, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "flowers on the branch." Other sources claim the original name was Nattagasska ("Blossom Creek"), which long-term residents recall as an alternative nickname for the town.
Home of the Atlanta Falcons, Flowery Branch has small town appeal with many large town amenities. Flowery Branch population has increased over 400% since 2010. One of many interests is the historic buildings located in downtown Flowery Branch dating back to the late 1800's. The Main Street strip has an old time feel and travelers can often be seen enjoying our city side as well as taking photographs of our quaint town to share with others. There are several specialty and antique shops as well.
